6:00am Everyday I go to bed dreaming of deep powder turns and praying for bottomless snow. Sometimes that is the best you can do when there is no new snow to ski. One thing we can't control in a ski season is the amount of natural snow we get. Things we can control are great grooming, excellent customer service, friendly staff, and great entertainment and events. Thanks to everyone who has worked hard to make sure this has been a fun season so far.I have skied all but 5 days so far this season. I love being able to fly down the mountain side in all sorts of conditions. Everyday you come up to the resort you never know how much fun you can have. I am going to enjoy some smooth corduroy this morning all around the resort. I might have to zip through the Terrain Park for a video session then off to The summit house for a breakfast burrito(They are big and delicious). Bring up the carving skis and enjoy some carving some turns today.Events This WeekWednesday: WNRL matches alpine skiers up in an intense dual ski race not for the faint of heart. Just kidding, it is a fun recreation bar league race.Thursday: TNRL allows knee droppers to enjoy some head to head battles for world supremacy, or bragging rights at Ed & Mully's.Saturday: Enjoy Cruisin' around the mountain with one of our best free family events of the year.Calendar of Events page.Enjoy some great corduroy this morning. Big Dave

Whitefish Mountain Resort (formerly Big Mountain Resort) has been one of America's favorite destinations for good times, good people and good snow since 1947. Rising above the historic railroad town of Whitefish, the resort has gained notoriety for its laid-back vibe, world-class skiing and spectacular summer recreation. Ranked in the top 20 in SKI magazine's annual reader survey, it is just as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as it is for friendly people and deep powder. The resort's central peak accesses more than 3,000 acres which receive more than 300 inches of average snowfall. Less than 20 miles from Glacier Park International Airport, the Mountain Village offers a full range of amenities, including fine dining, shopping, entertainment and family-friendly activities.
