Explore Yellowstone National Park in winter the way it was meant to be experienced with small groups on skis. Yellowstone Expeditions operates the Canyon Skiers Yurt Camp, where comfort in a backcountry setting reigns. The Skiers Yurt Camp is located in the heart of Yellowstone Park, only one half mile from the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. Facilities at Canyon Skiers Yurt Camp include: a community dining room Yurt where our camp tender serves hearty gourmet meals, private heated sleeping huts with warm sleeping bags, a heated outhouse, shower and wood sauna. Escape the crowds! All groups welcome. Daily tours with naturalist - ski guides explore the miles of wilderness ski trails directly form the Yurt Camp and we provide Snowcoach shuttles to trail heads. Four and five day package trips include: all meals, Snowcoach shuttles, daily guided ski tours of Yellowstone's backcountry thermal basins, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Mt. Washburn telemark day, spectacular scenery, wildlife viewing, great snow, great photography, great skiing. We also have snow shoeing tours, cross country ski rentals and snowshoe rentals available. Or join us for a Snowcoach sightseeing day trip from West Yellowstone to Old Faithful or Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, with abundant wild life viewing and guided thermal basin exploration. We will pick you up from your motel or we can meet you at the local ski shop. Whether you are going on a multi day Yurt camping ski trip to Canyon or a Snowcoach sightseeing day trip, we recommend that you arrive the night before your trip starts. Canyon Skiers Yurt Camp is located just 1/2 mile from the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River in the heart of Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone Expeditions provides Snowcoach shuttles from West Yellowstone, Mammoth Hot Springs or from Old Faithful. Yellowstone Expeditions is an authorized concessionaire of the National Park Service since 1983 and a Member of Cross Country Ski Areas Association.
