Whitefish Mountain Resort (formerly Big Mountain Resort) has been one of America's favorite destinations for good times, good people and good snow since 1947. Rising above the historic railroad town of Whitefish, the resort has gained notoriety for its laid-back vibe, world-class skiing and spectacular summer recreation. Ranked in the top 20 in SKI magazine's annual reader survey, it is just as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as it is for friendly people and deep powder. The resort's central peak accesses more than 3,000 acres which receive more than 300 inches of average snowfall. Less than 20 miles from Glacier Park International Airport, the Mountain Village offers a full range of amenities, including fine dining, shopping, entertainment and family-friendly activities.

 SPECIAL NOTES/EVENTS:
10:45am The groomers are in fantastic shape this morning. I had a great time carving GS turns down smooth corduroy. Moe- Mentum was my favorite run of the morning with great conditions and it brings you right to Elevator for some air time. If you like to carve up the resort than you should be up here. This is the last weekend of night skiing so come up tonight and enjoy some turns.7:45am It looks clear outside this morning. Smooth corduroy and great visibility should make for a great day on the hill.6:30am Yesterday was a great groomer day here on the mountain. I skied all around the mountain but I found the best corduroy was over on Heaven. It had not been groomed in a while so it was soft and they did a great job making it smooth. The snow off groomed was better than the day before but you still are hitting that firm layer underneath. Drop in to Connie's Coulee late and you can still find some fresh lines. My hat's off to the grooming staff this season. Even though we have had a mild lean snow year they have given us a smooth surface to carve up everyday. This morning I plan on thanking them by laying some tracks down the beautiful corduroy. The Terrain Park has been in great shape and it should be a great place to visit today. Not much time left so get up here and ski. This Week's Events:.Friday: Whitefish Winter Classic takes place with NFL Players signing autographs at the summit house.BC/DC Tonight at the StubeSaturday: 11th Annual Nate Chute Hawaiian Classic.
