An expert's brand of thrills served up in a local's hangout, Discovery is a terrific find that will remind you what skiing in Montana is all about! The north-facing Limelight lift offers some of the steepest lift-served terrain around, while the variety of beginner and intermediate runs on the Anaconda and new north-facing Granite lifts provide great skiing for all abilities. Easily reached from Missoula and Butte, Discovery is a place where skiers meet! We have beautiful views and uncrowded slopes with enough tree skiing, powder bowls, groomed trails and mogul runs for all tastes. One visit will make you a believer!

Looking for more challenging terrain? Head to the back side of Rumsey Mountain for some of the country's steeper lift served slopes. The back side's expert terrain is accessed by the Limelight lift (1000 vertical feet in just 5 minutes) and includes a variety of bowls, steeps, bumps, chutes, gullies, fans, glades, and tree skiing. Intermediate skiers and boarders can check out the back side by taking the Medicine Ridge trail, which loops around the double diamond slopes.
